This.is indeed a beautiful photograph – but it does not show Valaida Snow. In fact this is Lorraine Glover, wife of the hardbop trumpet man Donald Byrd. And it was shot by famous jazz photographer William Claxton in 1960 – when Valaida Snow had already passed. It seems almost impossible to get this error out of this world. You could help by either changing the photo's caption or using a photo of the real Valaida. Thanks!
