March 4 2011 · just back from seeing Merce Cunningham Dance Company, the legacy tour; this is the last year the dances will be shown. They did Antic Meet, the one with the chair! So strange to see a dance that is 'the last time it will be performed in Berkeley. So used to everything being mediated and rewindable. It was nice to be reminded that you can't capture a dance. there were a lot of little girls there, it was nice to think the memory of the dances might go on almost a hundred years or more who knows
